Apple slim aluminum keyboard with 10-key
The keyboard is much more enjoyable to use than my previous Apple Pro Keyboard. I chose this keyboard because I need the numeric keypad in my daily work and the wireless model simply doesn't have that option.
There are, however, a couple gotchas for people who are used to the older keyboards. There is now an fn key, but not where it is on the wireless or laptop keyboards. Instead it takes the place of the (rarely if ever used) help key. This is important because, like a laptop keyboard, this keyboard hijacks your function keys by default, requiring you to press fn-function to get your old functions or to get the labelled functions if you have fixed it in the Keyboard Preferences pane. Volume control used to be above the 10-key pad, now those functions are on f10-f12, brightness used to be f14 and f15, now f1 and f2. These wired changes are also different than the default preferences for expose and dashboard, placing them at f3 and f4 respectively.
Once you reconfigure the keyboard to require fn for the labelled functions, it functions mostly like the older model with a more pleasant keying experience.

Perfect replacement
For damaged link box. My daughter had broken the USB port on the original one and this replacement is identical.

Just what the doctor ordered
If you have ever tried to play a Sega emulator with a modern gamepad, you know the difficulties in mapping it to make sense. No more because this is a plug and play solution with the layout you remember.
