A great way to make great coffee, every time
I've been using this coffee maker for well over a year now, and am totally satisfied with the quality and uniformity of the coffee it produces. It's fairly speedy, and the coffee is always hot. The glass-lined stainless thermal carafe is remarkably effective at keeping the coffee hot, and totally avoiding the 'burn' that often happens when a coffee pot sits on the warmer for too long. A nice piece of engineering that also satisfies the coffee brewing requirements of the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America). They have done extensive testing to determine the factors that make coffee great, and this maker does all the right things. It also has enough of a 'techno' vibe to satisfy my aesthetic sensibilities, and as such, holds a permanent place of honor on the counter top. I could not be happier !!

LOVE the unit, but just won't continue to participate in the 'Apple way'
0 of 1 found this helpful If this is where the high tech developers are taking us, sign me up. This is an astoundingly snaz way to transport and listen to music. Everything about it says thoughtful, leading-edge engineering and a product aesthetic that just grabs you and doesn't let go. Boy, do I love this little gem of a music box!
That said, I can't recommend it because it requires a connection to the Apple universe to make anything happen, and I personally find that universe to be sufficiently objectionable in ever-increasing ways that I will have to find a replacement for this beautiful little friend. Sigh :-(

Perfect protection for your serious singles
1 of 1 found this helpful I wanted a holder that was made from non-damaging materials, specifically the proper degradation-preventing plastic. In my card collection, there is only one card that I really worry about protecting seriously, and this is the holder I chose. The car goes into a recess so that tightening the top doesn't squish the embossing on my card. The recess is the right size to prevent sliding around inside, with a gap from card edge to recess edge measured in what I judge to be single digit thousandths of an inch. Close enough for me to be able to feel completely OK about the protection my special card is getting. Cost for the holder was completely reasonable, and it came packed in a way that it could be assembled with card without handling hardly anything at all. No nasty fingerprints on anything - just that card in a pretty snaz black-bordered holder. So do one of your special cards a favor and try this holder - I think you'll like it as much as I like mine.
