Panasonic S1H in 2023 is still the best, and for years to come
1 of 1 found this helpful The best mirrorless camera in 2023. Amazing IBIS, color science, build quality, no overheating, battery life, and Netflix approved. S1H can shoot true 24fps, Sony FX3 can only do 23.98, which might not get you pro work, as many pro shoots shoot 24fps.
S1H works with Panasonic tether software through the USB-C port, so I can control muticam shots, not happening with any other company. Pairing used S1H with Atomos recorder is under $3000, and it gives you 6K ProRes RAW.

Z7II is tops still in 2024, excellent price, bye bye Sony, very durable long battery life
Awesome camera for stills, just absolutely some of the finest detailed imagery available. The RAW files import into Davinci Resolve, which I use for a free photoshop. Battery life is way more than 1000 frames. Best astrophotography camera ever made for under$2K. Camera is very durable.

Better than a phone for telephoto
Incredible zoom for it's size, good value. Better than a phone for telephoto. Be patient and learn how to use it, it fits in a pocket. I like to have it with me to take unexpected pictures. All cameras this size are very comparable, they are not using AI like a phone, and they do not have big sensors.
This type of camera can do a lot, still in 2024. If you can find one for under $250, it's really an easy decision.
