2006-2007 Mercedes E Class CDI A/C Problems
3 of 4 found this helpful Wonderful car overall but unreliable on trips longer than 2-3 hours when the airconditioning would quit working making trips unbearable having to drive with windows down. Many trips were made to different Mercedes dealers, each thinking and claiming the problem was fixed. Dumped the car after 18,000 miles and six months from new. Bought a new 2007 gas model E Class and had the same problem with A/C on long trips...A/C stopped working. Having the same experience twice in the same year with new cars makes me think Mercedes has a major air conditioning problem that no one knows how to analyze or fix.
