Fascism is always around the corner.
Certainly delivers what it is like to live under fascism, from the early stages (similar to the militarization of local governments which is occurring here since 9/11)to its more recognized atrocities. Bernie delivers good detecting in a frightening era and makes a good argument for standing firm against police states.

Some Moghuls are indeed held up to a buffet of ridicule.
This book is hilarious while pointing out all the wrongs in Afghanistan; the Pentagon should have read it before we became enmeshed in a losing war. Barnard is a wonderful writer.

Aces
One cannot beat Roald Dahl 4 extraordinary compelling stories that appeal to young people of any age. But as children grow so do the stories grow with them. My favorite is BOY. I highly recommend this collection.
