MINOLTA 50MM MC ROKKOR-PF 1:2 PRIME LENS / BOTH CAPS & UV / HAZE FILTER

Sharp images when used on Olympus M4/3 Platform
Bought this specifically to use with an Olympus M4/3 camera with adapter as an experiment. So far I'm pretty pleased with the results as long as I have time to check focus. I've gotten some pretty good shots of sleeping grand nieces and grand nephews as well as little critters who aren't afraid of being photographed. Overall, very happy I picked up the lens for a very good price and very pleased with results using this lens (when I have time to focus).
Minolta Maxxum 5 35mm Camera w/ Sigma 70-300mm Macro Lens

Really good AF camera for newby and hobbyist photographers
I've taken some really good photos with the Minolta Maxxum 5 using a 50mm f/1.7 lens and some decent to pretty good photos (in good light) with the 70-300 Macro lens. The Maxxum 5 is a breeze to learn and use. First 35mm film camera I ever bought that wasn't a fixed lens P&S or a wanna be 35mm SLR with interchangeable lens capability (Minolta QTSi). If I had the time and resources to develop my own film, I'd be using this camera a whole lot more than I do.

Great looking display, good response speeds and great build quality. Larger than I wanted, but compromise is sometimes necessary.
Coming from the easy to use Nokia Lumia 928 Windows phone, I had some trepidation whether I should move to an iPhone of an Android phone. I have an older iPad 3, so I'm somewhat familiar with an Apple device. I've also purchased a couple of Android phones (Samsung and LG) but I haven't had much luck with them (power consumption with the Samsung and faulty radio with the LG.) So, I purchased an iPhone 7+. Right now, it seems more complicated than my old iPad 3, but I'm sure it's more of a learning curve for this 60+ year old than being overly complicated. Some things are fairly familiar while some things aren't as intuitive. I'm very pleased with the screen display and so far, photos have been outstanding. It's fast and provides good tactile feel. It's also bigger than my old phone, but reviews indicated better battery life with the iPhone 7+ than the iPhone 7. (I prefer the size of iPhone 7 in my hand, but I also prefer not worrying about consuming the battery before I turn in for the night.
