This one's a keeper!
Touching & informative movie, even if done in typical Hollywood fashion. I enjoy Clark Gable movies, mostly. This is no exception. A bit more of the bravery of those serving on subs is in order, but I find no lack either. Seeing Don Rickles in a serious role was interesting. I give the movie 2 thumbs up & rate it just a bit below a few others (Longest Day, Braveheart, We Were Soldiers et. al.)The Longest Day & Brave Heart get my nod as the 2 best. I'd include Patton except for the fantasy of portraying that great man as arrogant.............

Kudos
Overall a good product/customer service/value. Everything is pricey these days, no exception here. They were bought for a specific purpose (outside security), hope that 'weatherproof' quality remains over the years. Must say, the locks actions are smooth & all locks function w/all keys easily! tcGB!

I like it
Delivery fast, price good..........The Longest Day is my fave war movie, w/o much distraction of a soundtrack-it displayed the complexities of the Normandy invasion, its heroes , its sadness, with great reference to what happened.......one of those who contributed authenticity-Frau Lucie Marie Rommel....you may want to do a little search on her & her husband....the DVD's are fine, I don't have an exquisite home theater, so I can't comment on the dvd's quality in that regard.....The all star cast had neat little 'duos' who made other films together-007 & Goldfinger; Duke & Stuart Whitman, etc...Patton was likewise monumental, however he was not as ego-centric as much of written/filmed history likes to portray him-his numbers (number of enemy killed, wounded, captured, given his 'layoff' were the best-grisly statistics yes, but fewer of his men were killed, wounded, captured than his contemporaries)....remember Ike had to give the 'allies' their 'due', too, as opposed to winning....note how gasoline was not supplied & Battle of the Bulge transpired......just like governments today, I smell Monty.......Would Anzio have been so bloody w/he @ the helm? Tora Tora Tora a good one to round out the triad....would like to see more said about Doug MacArthur......& the laws passed in the 30's which hastened Japans entry on the Axis side..........God Bless America!
