Taking Some Heat

I purchased this load for a neighbor's 360-watt PV system. She added a small (400W) wind turbine and it was time to reconfigure her Xantrex C-40 from a series charge controller to a diversion controller. Calculations showed that the controller could divert into a load as small as 0.188 ohms so I thought this load made sense. It works great. When the battery voltage rises to 14.0 from either source (she has sealed gel cells that can't go over 14.1 volts) the C-40 diverts to the load, battery voltage drops to the float setting (13.6), and the load heats a small pantry area in her tiny house. Highly recommended.

Great cheap window insulation

We bought this unperforated 4-foot wide roll to use big pieces of it as winter-time insulation on several of our large double-glazed windows. The half-inch thickness and big bubbles create a very good insulating airspace. We simply sprayed the window with water and applied the bubble wrap with bubbles against the window, pressing it firmly and uniformly against the glass. We weren't certain they would stay in place but.after a couple of weeks they still haven't lifted at all. And with the big bubbles you can still see what's going on outdoors to some extent, especially if you stand close to the window.

Functional and cheap.

This works well on a mild direct inguinal hernia (slight swelling). It could use more adjustment range but the price is great.
