Expensive but worth it. . .Amazing active noise reduction
5 of 5 found this helpful This was my first purchase of noise cancelling headhones. I bought a pair after my son raved about how well his worked.
As we all know anything Bose makes is going to have top notch sound quality, but I was more interested in their active noise cancelling capabilities as I fly several times a year.
I was not disappointed! These headphones work great for noise cancellation! They cancel out only white noise. . . so it feels eerily "library" quiet, even on a passenger jet with no music playing. The sound is clear and undistorted with good dynamic range.
My only complaint is that they take a little getting used to. Because of the near air tight fit around the ears they can make your ears feel like they need to equalize or pop because of the fit. But they are about as good as it gets for noise cancelling headphones.

Easy but ...
This is a very straightforward project requiring loosening two screwnuts and that’s about it.
That said most problems are not mechanical but ice buildup related.
For example on my most recent project I removed the old ice maker unit and found the trough that the fresh water pours down from the solenoid water valve to the unit was a frozen pipe of ice. So a new unit would not alone fix this problem unless the ice blockage was fixed first.
I recommend using a hair drier to COMPLETELY melt any ice build up before installing the new unit. Or better yet remove ice before ordering a new unit as it could be your problem.

Put out lots of light
I was surprised at how well one light system lit up my two pages of music.
The touch sensitive switch can be problematic for storage. Otherwise it's a very good unit.
