Waht's With Sizing?

Bought my first pair of Skechers 3 yrs ago. Since then I've tried to buy more, only to have a terrible time finding another pair that fits. Why can't companies stick with the same sizing fromone yearto the next, or is it the mfgs in China that chage things?
