Worthwhile upgrade.

A good upgrade for the rubber duckie that comes stock with the Baofeng UV 5R radio. I have not tried it on any other HT. I can reach our local repeater from inside my house with full quieting and that was not possible with the stock antenna,

Nice to work with

I used this to construct a toroid and the 18 ga wire is easier to work with than 14 ga wire. The18 ga wire does not work harden as fast as the 14 ga wire and still carries the current.
