Never without a fire starter.
Comes without kerosene in it which is provably because of shipping regulations. However, like a cigarette lighter, once filled; it'll start a fire for you every day for a year. GREAT SURVIVAL item. I bought two, but should have purchased 6.

Don't believe the instructions !
1st know your exact true weight. Then immediately stand on the scale. See how far off this reading is now. Adjust the adjustment wheel up or down- INSTEAD OF SETTING THE RED INDICATOR TO ZERO❗PLAY WITH THE WHEEL ADJUSTOR UNTIL YOU MATCH THE READING TO THE TRUE BODY WEIGHT!! The zero indicator doesn't work the way the instruction report it to work.
