Awesome for old cast iron skillets
2 of 2 found this helpful I worked for Burger King many moons ago & used lye to clean the broiler parts. I remembered how well it worked & recently bought some to clean some old & caked up cast iron skillets & other assorted things. I left them in for 2 days & took them out , hosed em off & it all looked brand new. Obviously I had to re-season them all but I'm very happy with the results. I highly recommend a strong lye solution (3 lbs. to 5 gallons of water) to clean any old bacon presses, old cast iron or anything. Be sure you wear gloves as well as eye protection. It WILL blind you if splashed into your eyes. I know that's a given for most people but there are some that don't realize that it will eat the skin right off your bones. Peace..

It keeps messing up her room...lol
My granddaughter to be absolutely loves this except she says "Grapes" keeps messing up her room when she's gone getting her in trouble with her mom...Its priceless , lol..Thank you
