Awesome modem for Xfinity Internet Performance Tier
Awesome little modem from Xfinity, just call them up and give them the MAC address to the CM500, and they will activate on their end with their activation server. Start saving money every month and avoid that modem rental fee!

Get this router if you are gaming on a discount and want power
Great router for gaming, but I don't recommend this router for novices to networking. While it makes things easy, it does have many features you will only understand if you are tech savvy. The wireless range for 5GHZ band isn't as good as my previous AC2400 Nighthawk, but still good. This router shines for gaming, where you can use DumaOS and use the geofilter feature which controls which players / servers can connect to you and play with you. There is even a beta DumaOS program that while awesome, does void your warranty on a brand-new/refurbished unit of the XR500.
