Madeleine Peyroux's music is so enjoyable. check it out!
Each of the Madeleine Peyroux releases I have purchased have been so enjoyable. I was exposed to her music by Radio Paradise. Radio Paradise is another extremely enjoyable experience for another review. To me, Madeleine has that great smokey jazz, low key feel that has it's own pocket over the many years going back to like the 1930's & 40's. But Madeleine is today's music, special on it's own and very advanced. Check it out, you'll like it.

Good read for the right price. Very interesting
Mickey Cohen must have been an interesting character to have personal contact with. I bought this as a result of watching the liquidation of Warren Zevon's personal library, where a copy of this was offered dfor auction. I wanted to read the reference(s) to a member of Warren's family, to help understand the culture Warren's dad worked in. This culture must have influenced Warren in some way. Mickey was not exactly the same caliber character as Al Capone, but a true character none the less. Now that I think about it, I may re-read it again, soon. And, yea, I did get some understanding of the trickle down that just might have influenced Warren.

Best as it can be!
2 of 2 found this helpful I guess Eddie K & John McD know what they are doing, but when I read the order of performance had been messed with, I was disappointed. From back in the day, when this was a bootleg, the quality of this recording has been questionable. This current release is better than those boots, but you've got to remember, Jimi was pretty spaced at this point, and show quality was all over the place from night to night, day to day. Bottom line, glad to see this is offically released, but I wish the complete, as recorded, origional order had been maintained. Kinda like the official Woodstock release, where Gypsy Woman, & Mastermind are missing. Don't mess with the stuff.
