Very good for running old programs

The machine works great for the few programs that need legacy software not compatible with Windows 10. it is not fast by today's standard, but is more than adequate for running old programs.

Workhorse printer with inexpensive page costs

The HP 4050 is a SOLID printer. It is not super fast by today's standards, but at 17 ppm it is more than adequate for most everyone. The printers were over engineered to last nearly forever with a duty cycle of over 30,000 pages per month in the time before planned obsolescence in the printing world. There are tons of aftermarket toners available for less than $50 that will print between 10-12,000 monochrome pages.(depending on % coverage on a page.) There are printer drivers available for old operating systems as well as windows 10. It can be set up as a network printer with the optional jet direct card or connected to most PC's with a USB to parallel port cable(or parallel to parallel on older machines. There are very few parts to wear out and a little bit of maintenance recommended about every 200,000 pages so for most home users that means once or twice a lifetime.

Kinetico Filters are a breeze to change yourself

These filters are the same as the ones you would get from a dealer for a lot less money. With a simple twist to remove and then insert the new filter and twist to lock them in, they are a breeze to change. You can watch a video online on one of a number of sites on how to change them. These filters work great and save a ton compared to having a dealer come out and change the filter for you.
