Little thrower.
The nitecore p30 is an amazing compact flashlight. I have owned and have been using it frequently for the last two weeks. It's 1000 lumens are very bright however what makes this light is the amount of throw it has. I use it for two things. Security at an rv park and a hog spotter at my family ranch. At the rv park the lower brightness levels are perfect for lighting up the spaces between campers without alerting anyone unnecessarily. The tight "hotspot" even in the lower levels reach out quite a ways. Ate the ranch. All levels are useful. Low levels for walking to the barn and shop. High levels for searching out a full football field length and then some. I love this light. I do however wish that the switch was "guarded" like the nitecore mt2a that I own. Even though many people will not carry this light in the provided holster on their hip like I do. It is possible. The compact size of the light makes for very easy maneuverability and ease of use with a weapon mount. The special modes i/e strobe, sos, and beacon are of little use to me. However you could signal a helicopter, police or friend at great distances as if you just said "hey over here" while being in a confined space. This light would be best categorized as a multipurpose light. Law enforcement, security, maintenance, Hunter the list goes on for people who could benefit from the p30. I have dropped the p30 on concrete, gravel and dirt. My kids play hide and seek clicking the tail switch on and off hundreds of times. It still turns on every time. If you want a light that can reach out long distances at a reasonable price. Buy the p30. Hope this helps make up your mind and thank you for sticking with me through my very long winded reveiw.

Great Charger
1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned and used this charger for over two years now and couldn't be happier. I charge mostly 18650 batteries and 14500 batteries with it. But have also charged 18350's, 16340's and AA rechargeable batteries. All of which charge with great ease. I love that I can set the charger to trickle charge any battery. It hasn't let me down yet. Matter of fact. I used it last night to charge two 14500's.

Great power supply for 2 meter/70cm mobile.
This unit runs twelve hours a day most days. Gives constant reliable power. Others have said the fan is loud. Honestly it is no louder than a pc fan. I bought this for an Anytone AT-5888-UV dual band mobile ham radio. It works great for this purpose. No rf noise at all.
