WOW, A SHOW STOPPER !!!
This light is amazing, I spent months looking in local stores and online doing way more research than considered necessary by most people but I am very particular and wanted something spectacular. Lets just say I got it and more!!! I was slightly concerned because I had seen an imitation of this light at a local box store priced for a lot less. Once it arrived I was relieved to see the quality and since we just put it up a few days ago I find myself opening my front door just to look at. It is definitely very large so make sure you measure and have plenty of space for this. When I saw it I was taken back by the size and although I measured, it looked larger than I realized. I was concerned it might be too big for my outside entryway but we held it up and I was in love. We do have a large 2 story home(4,300 sq ft) so a substantial sized light looks perfect. The frosted amber light globe is what I would call scavo glass, since it is not a yellow brown as you would think being called amber. It gives a soft glow when lit and it uses one of those spiral bulbs which is inc, you don't see the bulb through when lit so you just appreciate the iron work detail. The finial at the bottom is very large as well but sized appropriately for this wonderful detailed fixture. A subtle rope detail around the top and an embossed design going down the edges let you know their was a close attention to details when this beauty was designed. I already told my husband if we move in the future this is one of the items not staying with the house !
