Heavy, easily dropped or knocked off
1 of 1 found this helpful I have had several brands and designs of this type of rechargeable dehumidifiers. This large capacity drier is nice but is fragile. I had one get knocked off the stove. It hit the wood-burner's platform approx. 3 feet below the surface of the stove and split open at a seam spilling some of the dessicant and making it very difficult to impossible to reclose the plastic shell to prevent loss of more dessicant. To its credit, the shell itself did not break but now I am afraid to plug it into the outlet to recharge it. The ? $1.99 warrentee I bought specifically doesn't cover breakage so I m out the price of the unit + the useless warrentee. Beware.
