Nice cooker - but............

This cooker looks quite impressive and does cook most foods very quickly. I have found that I need to reduce almost every suggested cooking times/ temperatures on product packaging otherwise they tend to over cook and or burn. The actual cooker itself I am a little disappointed with for the following reasons - Even after a number of weeks the cooker still emits what smells like electrical burning, also the power cable and plug get very warm. I have checked with the supplier who says this is fine, but I am not convinced it is normal. While the cooker is on, the heat expelled from the back and sides is quite excessive and the surface surrounding the unit needs to be clear and protected. The metal mesh racks that come with the unit are quite a poor fit and if you are not 100% careful they drop off the side runners and the food falls off. You need to very careful to locate both the left and right runners and then slide the racks fully in until they catch on the rear guide otherwise as I say you end up trying to recover food from a very hot cooker. Overall I would say that this cooker works ok and I do use it several times a week. However with the electrical burning smell, the cable and plug getting warm, the poorly fitting racks, I feel that with the excessively high price tag it is considerably over priced giving it a false image of quality.
