Good Value
1 of 1 found this helpful Much quieter than I expected. FPS so far nowhere near advertised. I'm getting mid 300's, but it isn't broken in yet so hopefully will improve. Safety is in the right place. Overall quite nice.

These Are Not Original Apple Earbuds
They say they're OEM. I guess the meaning of that abbreviation has changed over time, because these are not the same as the headphones that come with an iPhone. They look like it. They look almost completely identical. I had to get them under a magnifying glass and listen to original headphones and these to find out they aren't the same. I found several things that gave it away. One is the plastic. It is not the same plastic as used in the Apple-produced earbuds. It's *really* close, but it isn't the same. The copy has very slight surface dimpling you need a high-powered magnifying glass to detect (I'm using a 20X and saw there was some sort of difference, but only pinpointed it after studying the plastic's qualities for several minutes. Users of the earbuds claimed they weren't originals, & claimed they could feel the difference in the feel of the wire. I felt both and they do feel different. The Apple earbuds are "grabbier," clinging to everything they get near. The copies less so. In my opinion that's a GOOD thing. Except the two pair I bought both seem to have failed *because* of the quality of the wires. The next thing that gave it away is the tolerances in the plastic housing components. They both have a controller with an indented ring around where the two halves are joined. The Apple earbuds have a tighter tolerance, and so the indented ring separating the two halves of the controller shell are closer to each other. Thirdly, the fine plastic mesh visible covering the earbud's open element is of a slightly different texture than the original. It's really close, but isn't the same. Lastly, they copies don't sound as good as the original earbuds. The copies sound good, just not *as* good IMO. The sound isn't as clear and they distort at lower volume-levels than the original than the original earbuds.
They're good earbuds, just not as good as OEM's
