VERY good ligature!
Using this on my Bari Soprano polished mouthpiece with my Selmer soprano sax and it's perfect! Just enough pressure tightening the one screw (not very tight either) to secure the reed yet allow it to vibrate freely on the mouthpiece table. I already use one on my alto with a Claude Lakey mouthpiece, so I had a pretty good idea it was going to work well on the soprano mouthpiece.

An AMAZING mouthpiece for a bargain basement price!! So EASY to play and intonation is perfect!
I put this on my Selmer soprano today and boy was I shocked! Intonation PERFECT from bottom Bb to top F#; a wide range of tonal colors, effortless transitions from pianissimo through double forte across all registers and the altissimo was an absolute joy and SO easy to play!
I have played smooth jazz sax for close to 40 years now and spent a small fortune on mouthpieces for my tenor, alto and soprano, and from MY experience, this is simply the best jazz soprano sax mouthpiece I have played on during that entire time, and at such a RIDICULOUS price! I can see why it is described as a "student" mouthpiece because it is so free blowing, but as a professional I can tell you this mouthpiece is MORE than sufficient for the smooth jazz I play, and I can't wait to play it with my band! For the ridiculously low price I wasn't holding out much hope, but this beats pieces that I've purchased that have cost 10 times more, and if you are an experienced player like me, you will know how to get EVERYTHING you need musically out of this mouthpiece.
