New life to a 10 year old computer.
1 of 1 found this helpful Beats buying a new computer by a landslide when you know how to fix it. Simple little hardware job. In fact, usually for me the most tedious thing with working on this kind of thing, is putting all the software and my things back after replacing these.

Great lil plug, sure wish it had larger solder holes for the wire though.
Worked out eventually with some tinkering. Overall construction of the plug and contacts seem reasonably decent. The thing about the solder slots is the hole for the wire in each thing is made for wire that looks like 20 gauge size. My radio repair project uses huge 14 gauge wire on the audio output, so using this plug on it was rather tedious. I ended up holding the wire right up against the spot, and melting a generous huge drop of solder over it to go all the way around the wire and the prong on the plug. Works great and all now, just had to tinker with soldering my wires to it. Contacts inside the plug for holding the plug and connection are really good.

Seems good.
Got these for a desktop power supply repair. Power supply quit powering up, and I found several swollen capacitors in it. Got these for it, and it's been fine for months so far since. Not the best repair idea for this scenario, but it works.
