Ear Zonk - Replacement Grado Headphone S Cushion - Pair in Black
    Nov 01, 2017
    Comfortable and transparent
I added the replacement ear pads to an old set of Grados and I found them to be very comfortable, much better than another set of ear pads of bought a few years ago. They put the headphone speakers a little closer to my ears and the sound seems very transparent. They cushions fit well too. The price is very reasonable. I was going to buy a new set of Grado headphones, but with the new ear cushions I decided to hold onto the ones I have.
RTOM MGC Clear Moongel Damper Pads - 6pcs

Clear Moongels just effective and more attractive than the originals
I've used Moongels for years and find them the easiest damper pads for taking unwanted resonances out of drum heads. The new, clear Moongels are just as good and look better than having several of the blue Moongels on my drums. They seem just as durable and can be washed off when they get dirty.

    Small speakers with quality sound
I bought the speakers for my home office desk top and they run through a Macbook. They are fairly accurate for such small speakers, recognizing that you can't get deep bass from such a small cabinet. That said, they are nicely balanced when played at a reasonable level with adequate bass and nice smooth highs. They have an excellent midrange that brings out vocals. The amplifier has plenty of power and I usually turn up the volume on the internal amp to about 12 o'clock then adjust it as needed from the Mac volume control. I think they are a good value because the A2+ has a built in D/A converter, which improves the sound more than the built in D/A converter in the Mac. I recommend that you get the support wedges, which direct the sound upwards to your ears if you use them primarily at a work station. It opens up the sound and it becomes more spacious, as well as decoupling the speaker from the desk top, which tightens up the bass. There is information about the speaker support wedges on the Audioengine website. Overall, I am very satisfied with them. I listen to them everyday.
