Worth buying for another view of the antenna.
You get quite a bit of versatility for the amount. The comparison between an analog SWR meter and the NANOVNA was extremely close of not the same, considering I am looking at an analog SWR meter needle. A bit of a learning curve but that is typical with tech devices.

Good DMR combo radio
Over all the radio works well. The biggest quirk is the joy stick control, extremely sensitive to inputs and often an incorrect input is a result. There is a learning curve setting up the-code plugs or otherwise stated memories. But like most technology, learning is part of the journey. It appears that there is a higher than anticipated battery drain. Overall the MD-2017 appears to be a reasonable way to go for a DMR/Analog radio that has VHF and UHF in one unit.

Trim to fit and your done
The material is easy to trim to fit to get the custom base dimension needed. Each rifle will require a different amount of trimming. Good to have a few extra especially if you over do the trimming. My rifle was not too loose but this took out any play present prior installation. .
