Amazing product! Life SAVER for blonde hair!!
After purchasing a home with extrememley hard water and installing a brand new whole home water softener, my hair turned so orange my husband jokingly began calling me "pumpkin spice." being platinum blonde the majority of my life I was desperate to get back to the color I (and my husband) love. BLONDE. I tried literally everything. The ion Malibu pockets from Sally's. Rinsing my hair with diluted toilet bowl cleaner, "the works" - which I have seen work on my own hair in the past, but do NOT recommend. This is a trick a few of my stylist friends use when all else fails. Well - needless to say, the fail proof toilet bowl cleaner rinse FAILED. When nothing else worked, Malibu C hard water did!! I didn't follow the directions however. I have longer hair so I emptied 2 packets into 4 ounces of warm water, shook it up well using a hair product bottle, completely saturated my towel dried hair, and left it in for 40 mins. My hair came out shiny, soft, undamaged, and BLONDE!!!! Since then, cranked up the salt settings on our new water softener from 25% to 42% and haven't seen an ounce of rust in out sink, toilet, tub, and most importantly, my hair! I do plan to do another 40 minute treatment soon to get any remaining iron/rust out - but it has been 2 weeks and my hair still looks as good as the day I treated it with this product. I NEVER leave reviews but this literally saved my hair and hope to help save someone else's! You won't regret trying this!
