the Vicar of Dibley

This is a good dvd with some of my favourite moments from the series. It wasn't quite what I expected as I thought it was a dvd of various complete episodes whereas it is actually just a series of funny moments taken from various different episodes. However that was my fault for not reading the description properly. I thought that the price and the postage were both extremely reasonable.

A feel-good film

This is one of my favourite films, and I'd already seen it numerous times before buying it on DVD. It has a real feel-good factor about it. Quite apart from the stunning Julia Roberts and the good-looking Richard Gere, there is also Hector Elizondo who plays the understated hotel manager who quietly and efficiently gets on with his job. There are some brilliant comedy moments such as Gere saying to Elizondo "I think we both know she's not my niece!" There is also Jason Alexander who plays the instantly dislikeable lawyer, and his increasing incredulity that his high powered client seems to be taking multi million dollar deals with such a pinch of salt. All in all, a great film.
