More expensive, but a better value.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the 4th set of gloves for my home built bead blaster in about 10 yrs. The last set (the orange 'uns) didn't last 6 months before the sleeves totally rotted off. These are more expensive, but they are bigger, longer, and very well made. The fabric lining is comfortable, and makes them easy to get into and out of. The gloves are a little loose on my small hands, but they are made of the same knobbly rubber that has lasted years on previous ones, and dexterity is good for handling small parts. I'm tempted to buy a second pair for when these wear thru, but I think that will be a long way down the road.

As good as my old Makita, with several nice new features.
1 of 1 found this helpful Purchased this to replace my 20 yr old Makita, and I like the new features, like the LED light, the depth of cut indicator, and especially the new thicker base which won't slip under a straightedge on long cuts. Also, the base is held with screws and bolts, rather than rivets, so it can be repaired/replaced if it gets bent. The weight of the new "magnesium" saw isn't much different than my old saw, but isn't an issue with me.
