Nice utility knife for pros
Knife is bigger than standard utility knifes with some heftiness to it. The metal case holds up well and the blade stays in place thanks to a small magnet up front so it doesn't leave the blade in the material when pressing hard during use nor does it "self retract" like other utility knives. Handle holds a ton of spare blades and the newer ones have a plastic "magazine style" dispenser. The blade storage area also has magnets to prevent fall out while changing the blade. I had my first one for 5 years with no issue until I lost it and it was and has been the best utility knife I had during my 30 years of construction. Upfront cost is high, but it has excellent long term value.

Started strong but limped across the finish line.
Cover had a decent feel to it and worked well when it was new. Kickstand broke about 4 months in and the outer shell has been disintegrating rapidly the last 2 months. I was hoping to get a year out of it, but it's not going to make it.

Poorly made and cheap
3 days of use is what I got out of this tape holder before it broke. Good idea, but the accountants probably got in the way of the engineers and developers so they end up producing this piece of junk. Really disappointed as I've had nothing but good experiences with FastCap products before. This product shouldn't even be sold as it's such low quality that it should just be given away for free with a qualifying purchase.
