This lens is perfect for in-close product photography and macro photography, in general, and it's light-gathering qualities are more than adequate at f2.8.

definitely a beginner scope
2 of 2 found this helpful The Meade Polaris 127 EQ is a great scope for teaching the basics of telescope alignment and use, but it definitely needs lens upgrades to be a better scope.
I would say it is a good value for the price, but buy some upgraded lenses for a better experience.
