It's like a mairrage...
1 of 1 found this helpful This was a graduation gift for my son. I spent several months learning about watches and narrowing down the choices. After looking at thousands of watches in dozens of brands and selecting some 50 that I "liked" I discovered one important thing. There is no perfect watch. It's a compromise. I chose this one because: stainless (band won't smell or wear out), Can use a standard band, silver (gold wears off and looks bad in a few years, solar (battery should last a long time, but if stored in light doesn't wind down), heavy/large enough to be manly without stretching your arm so its longer than the other, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, glow hands, no excessive features to complicate use or break, gold highlights five it a bit more class but aren't exposed to wear, good water (and dust) depth, major reputable brand, easy repair facility in Brazil (he might move there).
What I don't like: no perpetual date, hands glow marginally sufficiently but there are no glowing hour marks so you have to really concentrate to get time right - not an easy task in the middle of the night, hands often cover date making it hard to read, I kind of wanted Roman numerals, I have mixed feelings on the the day/date - I wanted the standard Mon 17 in windows but...it's a compromise.
So it's not perfect but I'm satisfied and I'd still buy the same watch. And with a little maintenance I think it'll last a life time.

Good enough
Worked fine on our v-star 650's which are a bit hard to reach. It is stamped steel but chromed so it shouldn't rust. I was afraid of durability with the aluminum ones. I also got this one in part because it has 2 sizes so I didn't have to worry about getting the right one. No one's going to think it's SnapOn, but it looks solid and, for the price, is . . . Good enough.

FIne for the price
It works fine so far. I have had a problem but it may be my glued up hard drive. It's not the greatest quality, but is in line with the price and for temporary and occasional use its acceptable. The "yes" to "is it good quality" is qualified with "for the price".The power connector is a little too cheap and I had to wiggle the metal connectors inside to get it to go over the pins. For my current use I would buy it again.
