Heartland: Season 2 [DVD] [2010] Amber Marshall

great series especially early

Like all very long-running shows the first 5 seasons were the best, not the second 5, and certainly not the last 5. I'm talking about all TV where the actors were at it too long after they got paid, and flat in delivery and pacing. You know the shows. Heartland is a beautiful Canadian ensemble series where the Canadian outdoors is the star and all the actors are having a hoot feeling out their characters and really establishing a community. Jack and Tim have to govern a ton of youthful energy between Ty, Amy, Ash, Saraya, Lu, Mallory, Caleb, and even Kit. Lot's of fun and laughs. and drama. and many very nice moments that keep you hooked til the next episode. locations and cinematography always breathtaking, direction so good it never gets in the way of the actors, writing is just as consistent, and whoever edits all these episodes never lets it drag. It's a special show.

Laugh out loud funny and intellectual, it's vintage Woody Allen

Review for ANYTHING ELSE only. Saw Tarantino on youutube countdown his favorite films and this was on it so I trusted him. I love Woody Allen but he is prolific and I've probably only seen half his films. This was a joke a minute, laugh out loud, throwback to his screwball side. From John Cusack to Owen Wilson his actors all play him, and his female leads play Keaton/Farrow. In this case Jason Biggs and Christina Ricci were perfect. Woody played a mentor to Biggs and lucky for you, if you see this movie, he steals the whole thing. Not enough of Stockard Channing my only complaint. Laugh out loud funny and intellectual, it's vintage Woody Allen in the 2000's. That didn't happen often. This flew right under my radar so tip of the hat to Tarantino.
