Lots of BRIGHT white sparks!
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought 2 5" x 1/2 " rods. I drilled them on the ends to tie a lanyard to them. When the drill in the drill press made contact blinding white sparks went EVERY where! They were VERY energetic and bright. I knew that I couldn't continue drilling dry, so i filled an old spray bottle with water and as i SLOWLY applied pressure to the press, I squirted water as needed to prevent any sparks. Worked GREAT! I saved the left overs from drilling the rods and spread the black mush out to dry. it looked like black dirt. Wondering what would happen........... I struck a Bic lighter to it and, "POOF" it flashed like fireworks!

BAD CHOICE!!
1 of 1 found this helpful I own one of these cheaply made bike racks. The bike rack is too low to the ground and will drag and scrape on just about ANY incline. On a trip down the highway after hitting a pothole my bicycle bounced out of, and off of the carrier right into the rear window of my new 2012 ford Fiesta, completely smashing my tinted glass window, and scratching up the rear hatch of my new car. The velcro ties that come with the carrier WILL NOT WORK! This rack requires the wheels to be TIED with rope or elastic tie-downs. Later down the road I noticed no cars seemed to want to trail behind me. I pulled over and discovered that the two up right supports were BROKEN. BOTH OF THEM, and the bicycle was just about to fall off when I pulled over to check it out. The supports were not welded properly, and were cheaply welded at that. Well after PROPERLY welding all four sides of the upright supports to their bottom clamp, removing the bars for a second bike that were closest to the car, buying a 4 inch hitch riser, to weld and bolt it to the bottom of the 2 inch hitch tube I vastly improved its usability! The problem is that even after improving the bike carrier, and repairing the bike rack, I don't trust this carrier to ever use it again as it cost me $250 to replace my rear window.

Great for Bicycles! (with a few modifications)
2 of 2 found this helpful Seems well made. Time will tell. I bought these to put on my bicycle. To begin, I had to replace the original power cord with a standard two wire 12vdc 5.5mm (male jack) power cable. These lights are wired to run the angel eye rings separate from the main lighting LED using two different switches. For simplicity purposes with the wiring I replaced the original 3 wire cable, with my new longer two wire cable with the necessary 5.5mm male power plugs. To light both the angel ring and the main LED, I simply soldered the + power line to the circuit board angel eye ring contact, and also to the main LED circuit board contacts. And of course the negative power line needed to be soldered to the proper circuit board contact as well. Now my new bicycle lights will light up both the angel eye ring and the main LED when the lights are activated. The lights HI/Lo/Flash functions are internally controlled and accessed by clicking your on/off switch. Since I modified my lights wiring for my bicycle, the angel eye rings come on whenever the lights are on. They do not brighten, dim, or flash. The COB lighting element doesn't seem as bright as a T6 LED but they are pretty bright anyway. These lights get VERY HOT! so hot that the mount gets too hot to touch. Mounted right side up, the heat travels all the way down to the handlebars, and gets warm where its clamped on. Its a good idea to keep these away from plastic and rubber. Mounting them right side up will minimize heat travel. They look really great and get lots of attention.
