Simple and cheap
Compared to the RAM products, this is compact and light weight. It comes out of the box in two pieces, the handlebar clamp and the phone holder. They fit together with 3 little plastic tabs, which I'm guessing will not last forever without breaking. The holder is ball mounted and rotates 360; resistance to rotation is adjustable. The two movable "fingers" that hold your phone on each side are moved apart by a plastic lever compressing a weak spring, so the stretchy rubber net is essential to hold your phone securely. It also works with my older EZ Pass toll tag, but I'll use an additional rubber band because the built-in net won't secure the toll tag. For the price, seems worth a gamble on longevity; just make sure you always have a back-up elastic on your valuable stuff.
