"Rocky Jones Blasts Off For Fifties Futuristic Fun!
This little gem from the Fifties is great fun. The first sci-fi series recorded on film, it's everything you'd expect from a mid-century look at the future (on a limited budget). Fun, kitschy and highly entertaining!! This 2 DVD set includes four 3 chapter stories. The prints are great with clear pictures and sound. Kick back, enjoy, and blast off for fun with "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger"!!!

"Lily Mars" is Tuneful, Charming Fun
1 of 1 found this helpful Maybe not one of Judy Garland's better known films, but a real gem. Judy is in fine voice, and was never more beautiful. She also plays opposite Van Heflin very well. All in all, an extremely entertaining and thoroughly charming film.

When Ladies Meet...You have all the fun!
The only screen pairing of Joan Crawford and Greer Garson is actually a very witty film. Both stars are beautifully costumed, and naturally glamorous. Robert Taylor is engaging, and although Herbert Marshall seems an odd choice for Crawford's lover/ Garson's husband (his "leading man" days had waned, and he was leaning more toward character roles) he gives a fine performance. Speaking of character actors, Spring Byington (one of my favorites) is on hand as a dizzy society matron. Warner Archive has done a wonderful job on this release.
