Color was black and lacked stated quality paint. Maybe I was subbed cheap stuff. Not quality by appearance. Works fine after installing.

Surprise!
I bought the Emotiva Airmotiv R11 powered sub for a shootout against this and the more versatile and convenient app is a sell, but class AB as well. I think the cabinet needs a little dampening which is easy to do. DIYer, do that in small increments or you will over dampen it quickly. Creating a wide bandwidth with a 10db peak at 20hz can impress any listener and it isn't possible with most others like Emotiva. I will buy another soon. An incredibly intuitive app with stellar performance!
