Works----Sometimes
0 of 1 found this helpful I've been re-gripping clubs for years. After seeing some reviews and videos of this type of tool I thought I'd give it a try. As far as removing grips that have been installed with grip tape/grip solvent it was a no go. My compressor is adjustable so I tried increasing/decreasing the air pressure and putting more grip solvent in the grip hole hoping that would help. I could get the the end of the grip to start to come loose but the lower end was a no go. I thought maybe it was the type of grip I was trying to remove but when I tried to remove one of the Winn Dri-Tac grips I had installed a couple of hours earlier I couldn't even get it to break loose. Now this may work on grips installed without grip tape but that's not the way I do it. One more thing I did not like is the steel cone shield, When you are trying to work the grip loose with your free hand that front edge is pretty sharp. I cut myself numerous times , it is coming off the next time I use this .
What this tool does do is make installing the new grips much easier. Instead of saturating the inside of the grip and the grip tape on the shaft with solvent to slide the new grip on I just put a tiny bit inside the grip shake it up and with the air pressure it slides right on without deforming the grip. It is so easy to align the grip also. That is where this tool is useful to me, installing the grip ,
