Can't go wrong with Black Diamond

Whether you are a beginner or an expert you can't go wrong with one of these in your rack, even exclusively as an emergency rappel device. I take first time climbers to the crags and all my harnesses have one of these racked without exception, and because of the price you won't brake the bank.

DMM Pivot Belay Device

Great tool

I like the DMM Pivot, it's light, it's versatile, and it's well made. I have used it most for rappelling cleaning routes and setting top-ropes but works well for me belay also. My one complaint is that it is stiff with rope in the 10mm range, and works best with smaller diameter rope.
