Brushless Makita saw
1 of 1 found this helpful My previous Makita cordless 6 1/2 saw was stolen. I saw this was the new replacement and the older ones (with brushes) were discounted. The new model seems to have more torque and cuts better, but my older saw might have needed brushes or the blade dull. If you're willing to wait a few months I expect Makita to drop the price when the older model is sold out. The new one has a few additional features, but no rip fence. (that's optional) PS, All the cordless tools are going brushless .
I didn't give five stars because I think it's still a bit expensive.

Great medium/smaller hammer drill
I replaced an earlier Hilti that was stolen. The Hilti had a bit more power but this one is fine for my needs. Also nice is the hammer only feature that allows use as a small jack hammer.
You'll have to get a small tube of grease for the bits--Makita doesn't supply
