The Easiest and Best of the Carpeting Plants.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is perhaps the best and easiest to cultivate of the green carpeting plants. I have good lighting and CO2 injection, but my tank is deep (24"). (At this depth, sufficient light does not penetrate for many specimens that require high light conditions.) Where hemianthus failed, this has succeeded, creating a beautiful dense mat that does not need much trimming. I like it so well that I bought more micranthemum "Monte Carlo" to test in another, much shallower tank with good light but no CO2. So far so good. Tissue cultured, i.e., rooted in agar gel is definitely the way to go with this micranthemum and other small plants. The plants are in perfect condition and snail-free.

Beautiful Results With Practice

The results are beautifully natural-looking on the hairline, the temples, and the crown IF you master the technique of applying in very short pulses with pauses to evaluate in between. (If you keep your finger on the button you will get a dark spot.) It's overpriced and there is not a lot of product in the container, so you cannot afford to waste any. Be subtle and sparing. If there is any overspray on the skin, it can be removed with a dry cotton wad or cloth. A light brushing will remove any excess that is covering up highlights. There may be some itchiness with a heavy application. Caveats notwithstanding, I love this product now that I have learned how to use it.
