Did not work/bios out of date

On the 3rd Generation Kindles if you did not update the BIOS in 2016 you cannot connect to the internet unless you manually download the BIOS updates and manually install them. This Kindle arrived with the BIOS several years out of date and it would not connect to the internet. It took me several hours to figure out the problem and quite a bit of work to get it operational.
