Amazing Go-To lens for APSC
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this lens to switch up the kit of primes I had to make it easier for travel.
I sold the 30 mm sigma prime as I didn’t use it as much and now run this lens, the sigma 16mm and the Sony 70-300. The sigma trio is extremely sharp and some of the best lenses ever made. My issue was that I needed a zoom lens since switching lenses whilst traveling just wasn’t convenient. This sigma 18-50 is extremely light, yet remaining durability, and unbelievably sharp. I still own the 16 mm + 56mm prime as it is sharp and you can’t beat that f/1.4 that’s amazing for portraits and low light.
If you’re looking to travel, this lens should be in your kit without thought along with the 56mm prime. You won’t regret it!
