The metal outlives the plastic.

This is a good product. The metal-work holds up well. I have had a previous model for years. I believe the company should offer replacements for the plastic seed tubes. My older one turned yellow and broke. I tried to buy a replacement. They claim there is no market for the plastic seed tubes and so they do not offer them, but many people, like myself, want them. They are great for some years depending on how much direct sun they are exposed to.
