This is a solid, stable mic stand. Its simplicity places focus on the mic.

Excellent survival whistle
This whistle's design is not new, however, it's tried and true. It's far louder than a couple straight whistles advertised as survival whistles, one titanium alloy and the other bamboo shaped.
It seems to put out as much volume as a Fox 40 Sonik Blast. The difference is that this is a one- chamber pea whistle made of brass, whereas the Fox 40 Sonik Blast is not a pea whistle, is made of (albeit solid) plastic, and has two chambers. The choice would come down to personal preference.

Great for heavy extension cords.
I built a base for this and use it as a portable reel for my 100' 12/3 extension cord. The reel is sturdy and an affordable option to the metal reels dedicated for extension cords. I'm sure it would also hold a 100' 10/3 extension cord.
