"White is a State of Mind" in not only a play on words, but a page turner!

"White Is a State of Mind" is an excellent read, a sequel to Melba Pattillo Beals book "Warriors Never Cry". Growing up in the 50's in a small town in Indiana, I was not really aware of the civil rights movement until I went to college and moved away. Reading both ms Beals books brought me front and center into the life of a young black girl/woman and made me feel I was inside her soul during what has been, mainly, a painful life or racism. The book made me think, cry, reflect, and purge my thoughts and life of anything racist! The book was shipped quickly, in better shape than I expected and a treasure to share for years to come!
