Nice Low Cost Replacement Motor For The Align 600MX 1220kv Motor.
Got this to replace a tired Align 600MX 1220kv motor in my one Trex 600ESP. Figured the low cost would come with compromises, but so far none to be found.
This motor is nearly identical in specifications to the Align 600MX (# AGNHML60M02) including the 6 pole count. Making it bolt in, solder bullets, plug and pay ready; not even requiring any programming or governor setting changes in the Castle Phoenix Edge ESC. Comparing data logs between both motors also indicated very similar power consumption and peak current values. Temps were very similar as were all other ESC data log parameters. The amount/strength of detent (cogging) also seemed to be almost identical comparing this Garrt 600 1220 to a healthy Align 600MX 1220 I have in another helicopter.
Windings are well done & epoxied. Found balancing to be good during full range RPM spin up test before fitting. Slight vibration detected, but no more so than in Align's 600MX's I've got. Upon close inspection, Garrt has taken the time to dynamically balance the outruner can using balancing epoxy putty. Bearings seem to be of decent quality and were well lubricated, but as many of us do, I also added a few drops of quality Boca Bearing Lightning Lube to them before installation to get the best possible bearing life.
Have had a couple dozen flights so far with it and really am impressed considering the low cost and almost identical specs to Align's 600MX. The red anodizing looks good too :-)

Perfect Fit - Great Grills
I was somewhat worried when I ordered this grill set because I couldn't get a confirmed size when I contacted the seller. I have read other reviews on these BBQ-Parts grills that state the size is either slightly bigger or smaller than listed. I only have about 1/8" of wiggle room on either side of 19 1/4" for the length and if these grills were either a fraction longer or shorter, they would not fit. Upon arrival, the very first thing I did is pull out the tape measure and they were exactly 19 1/4" in length - phew!
These are not wrapped stainless steel like the ones they are replacing; I still can't believe that is what some grill manufactures are using - even high-end brands, that in my opinion is very dishonest of them. Did the good old magnet test and the magnet did not stick.
These grills were also perfectly square. Again, I have read reviews that state the grills are not square but in my case, they were. The welds look good and all the ends are nicely finished and beveled.
About the only negative I would say is the diameter of the rods are just slightly smaller than what came stock on our BBQ, but it's very slight. On the plus, they have a center support bar which our stock grills didn't have.
Our stock wrapped stainless grills lasted us almost 10 years, so I suspect these quality full stainless ones will outlive our grill. To top it all off, they were almost 1/3rd the cost of what I would have had to pay from our BBQ outlet to get the phony wrapped factory replacements. Shipping was just over a week up to Canada so that was also a nice bonus. All in all, these are great replacement grills, exactly sized as stated for a great price! Highly recommended.
