quality sensor unit
Oregon Scientific builds pretty good quality weather stations. The outside sensor units e by their nature subject to the exterior environment. They tend not to last as long as the indoor units. But, these replacement sensors are an inexpensive fix to that problem. I get better than two years use out of them and replace them when required. For a weather junkie, it's a bargain.

Quality red dot at good price
Even thought it's constructed in China, it's built to Sig specs so You can feel good about it being solidly built. Once you get it sighted in, it takes a beating without losing zero. The "shake awake" is a great feature and allows for amazing battery life. And when the time comes sometime waaay down the line, the replacement batteries are available almost everywhere for a very modest investment. For the money, it's hard to go wrong.

it took two
I bought the first unit and installed it in my MagLite. It worked well for approximately 6 on/off cycles and then failed. The replacement has worked quite well and provides a good working light.
