Black Replacement Bakelite Handle for Pan Pot Cookware LW

Burned, bakelite and plastic releases toxic gases when burned.

I was very happy at first with this item. Sturdy, well constructed, nice fit. However, if you want to cook something for a long time, the handle begins to burn and melt. When plastic and bakelite burn and melt, they release toxic gases, even cancer causing gases into your home. Will not use them anymore.
