Too lightweight for heavier sterling pieces.
I placed an entire sterling set in the case.... It is a very thin wood box - very lightweight. I don't think it will hold up long. But for safe, long term storage it will do. Not for regular use. I gave it three stars because it holds the amount of silver that is described and it is a pretty box. I like that the knives have a deep pocket, not like the flimsy straps on other silver storage boxes.
