It's a USB switch
Switchover time is around 2.5 seconds, about as good as you're gonna get.

Good replacement component.
I can now take photos again. My previous OEM camera busted and could not bring to focus anymore. This item is of decent quality.

Bang for buck sound card
Upon first receiving this device, it's small size and metal construction surprised me. The first thing I did was connect it to my raspberry pi device running xubuntu; It was recognized as a standard two channel analog device. After reconnecting the device for the second time, all audio profiles were recognized. First off, you must choose analog or digital (you cannot utilize analog output if you use digital out). The toslink input was not soldered to the board upon inspection. Fixing that solder connection did not make it operational. A side note is that the microphone input cannot be used at the same time line in is used, thus making it redundant and pointless. The two connectors on the left are never going to be used. Not sure about SPDIF out operation, I have not tested it. For EQ and computerized volume control purposes, this is a really good option for me. A raspberry pi zero can possibly fit inside the device's housing, as there is a 80mm×35mm×3mm spot with some 10mm spacings opening up for wire stuffing. This is well worth the money spent.
